EMG Investigations have many years experience of tracing people both in the UK and abroad. We have access to many specialised databases, along with sound experience investigative field visits. We offer a range of tracing services for a variety of reasons, for example:
Tracing Debtors, in relation to either personal or commercial debt. We can assist in locating debtors to a new address, locate assets they may have for pre-sue reports as well as offering process serving worldwide. We have worked for many different entities be they corporate companies, local authorities, solicitors or private clients.
Tracing Freeholders, often in relation to absentee landlords where people may be intending to extend their lease, take action as to maintenance of the building, claim on the buildings insurance or perhaps even purchase the freehold. If the freeholder cannot, despite extensive enquiries, we can provide a report for use to show evidence that all reasonable enquiries have been exhausted.
Tracing Biological Family, usually for adoptees wishing to look for their biological family but also for other family members who may have lost touch. We also work on many probate cases where evidence of relationship/s is required.
Tracing Witnesses, primarily for legal cases, and mostly for witnesses known to already to the legal team but may have moved or the address may not have been noted properly in the first instance. Our tracing service for witnesses is often instructed in conjunction with serving various legal papers, for example for a witness summons.
Tracing Ex-Partners, is most often requested for the purpose of serving divorce proceedings or for proceedings to enforce financial settlements.
The time frame for locating someone can vary and be dependent on many factors, but we generally offer our service, within the UK, with a 7-14 day first reporting timescale. More complex or international searches may take longer.
We always work within the parameters of the law, and conduct ourselves to a high ethical standard. We are registered with the ICO, have professional indemnity insurance and our principal is a full member of the Association of British Investigators, the only investigations association endorsed by the Law Society.
We offer an initial email or telephone consultation, without cost or obligation and can be reached on the contact details below.
